Down Syndrome Association of Central Florida

The Down Syndrome Association of Central Florida is a not-for-profit association, founded in 1991, by parents of children with Down syndrome. It has grown from a few families to over 7,000 individuals, families and supporters. We are governed by a volunteer board of directors (more than 50% have a family member with Down syndrome.) We serve more than 700 families in the 7-county area in and around Orlando. DSACF is the leading voice for individuals with Down syndrome and their families. We offer hope, encouragement and acceptance through advocacy, education and awareness so that each may realize their potential as members of our community.

UCF of Central Florida - The Experts for Children with Special Needs

United Cerebral Palsy of Central Florida is the expert for children with special needs. Unlike similar organizations, UCP provides a comprehensive SET of services -Support, Education and Therapy -- for more than 2,300 children up to age 21, in their homes as well at six locations throughout Central Florida: Downtown Orlando, Lake Mary, East Orange, West Orange, Pine Hills, and Kissimmee.

Although independently owned and operated, UCP of Central Florida is an affiliate of the national United Cerebral Palsy Associates (UCPA) and is responsible for a four county service area, including Orange, Seminole, Osceola, and Lake Counties. We are a 501 (c) (3) non-profit agency.

The Down Syndrome Foundation of Florida is a non-profit organization* started by a group of visionary parents who wanted to have a direct impact on children, families and the community as they journeyed through life with a loved one with Down syndrome. We are a grassroots organization made up of volunteers that believe that through creative programs and partnerships we can facilitate opportunities and experiences so that there is no mystery or myth about people with Down syndrome. Our goal is to promote inclusion, understanding and acceptance by expanding opportunities for individuals, families and communities touched by Down syndrome.
